Wonderful weekend

A report of my wonderful weekend:

Was overworked on Friday, had a 'tough' hike on Apeh Hill (Which I told my friends that it was just an easy hike, so paiseh~!) there were not that tough for the past few times, I was cracking my head out here what made this time such a big difference..... could be... my weight! (Gosh! Have been making too many of scones and cupcakes..... )

Together with church youths and hiking buddies, with a newbies Xavier, together 9 of us, by the time I reached home after lunch was about afternoon 3 something, and handed over a bag full of balloons to church, rush back for a long shower, then headed back to church again to start making balloon arch. With the help of Kooi Sai, Joel, Siew King and Paul, managed to finish this wedding balloon arch by 8pm.

I was dog-tired at the end of Friday, my legs lifted up unconsciously and left uncontrolled  while I was trying hard to sleep.

Saturday was really a fantastic day as our church was holding the first Marriage Renewal Vow, 7 couples participated, the longest marriage is 36 years. Such a precious opportunity, joy and honor to witness 7 beautiful brides and 7 charming grooms gave their vows in the presence of God, splendid!

As I wore 3" high heel shoes, as soon as I took it off when I reached home, I felt very painful on my left heel, had problem walking on a flat ground, to ease the pain, I tip-toed, that was the problem I chose to sleep early, very early~ at 9pm.

Sunday, today, attended Sunday service, the only difference was that I took full 10 hours of sleep, hence I had a sleepy head in the morning. Fantastic praise and worship led by Pastor Tommy. Arh, also glad to see Michael and Laurie were there among us!

Visited mother of brother Shyewoon in Klang, of course we took the chance to experience Klang sumptuous - food.

This lunch, I was happy to see Ben finally be Ben!! He has came back as himself — talking, glad that he 'is back'! I confessed I shouldn't confront him from talking, which made Mun Wah and me feel 'uneasy', any way, we had wonderful time to listen to Ben did the talking as usual, ha~

The visitation was wonderful as we sang many songs in the room which we enjoyed seeing the mother singing together with us in joy and peace, wonderful, we decided not to forget to bring along song book and guitar next time we do our visitation.

And we headed home for movie 'Letters to Juliet' with Debbie and Michael, interesting love movie, hope we didn't bore Michael with this movie as this is a girl movie. And went for dinner with another 'just arrived friend —Ah Boy' in Taipan. This will be my last event of the day, phew! All the way from morning 10am till night 10pm, Michael said he was out the whole day! So did we. Wonderful day~

End of the report.

Why You Shouldn’t Date a Married Man

Was troubling about this issue, for myself as well as my friends, this one helps when you are determined. And sisters, be teachable who comes to you and advises you about this issue, and I can assure you, you are so blessed with this sister who comes to you, because God loves you.

Why You Shouldn’t Date a Married Man

Published in Dating

Point of view from a woman who was in a relationship with a married man for three years and why women shouldn’t get involved with unavailable men.

I don’t think any woman in the world starts dating a married man on purpose.
Or at least that’s what I would like to believe.

It just happens.
I am going to tell you why you should break up this type of relationship if you find your self at one at this precise moment in life.
I know it’s hard. I also know it’s also exhilarating, you think he is boosting your self esteem, he treats you like a princess, you never fight (except when you want more), sex is great, this is the best relationship you’ve ever had!
Well, it’s NOT.
I was involved with a married man myself. A relationship that lasted for over 3 years. I don’t regret any of it because it was the best “University” I could have attended on “relationships”.

It started in the most harmless way. Being the owner of my favorite restaurant, which I attended at least 3 times a week, I would always chat with him whenever I saw him. The service at the restaurant has always been great, but to me was even greater, when I got sent a glass of wine, or a plate compliments of “the house”. I liked the attention, I loved the free wine and food however I would later learn that was the most expensive wine and “free” food of my life!

Women are a different kind of human being. We love the attention. We love conversation. You want to get into a woman’s heart? It’s as simple as “talking and listening” to her. We love the fact that someone wants to get to know us. We are tired of men who have just met us and want to take us to bed. We love the wine and dinning. We are creatures of attention. All we want is to be treated like a princess.

Well… married men have a “Master’s Degree” on “How to treat women like a Princess”. We naively think that this is because they come from a different planet. A different race. Something over the years has taught them how to treat a woman, and they have perfected it so well.

If you are one of the women that think that: you are VERY wrong.
The reason these men treat “other” women outside their relationships like a Princess is because they can’t offer you anything else!

Simple dinner with Baked Salmon

A Simple dinner for me and Gab, as he misses the time of my home cook food, is back for one night by request.

Ask mom to recommend how to cook salmon, she said bake would be a good idea. And my neighbour suggested to put some mayonnaise as her kids like it this way, it sounds good to me, Gab and I love mayonnaise.

Here are the steps to make a simple Bake Salmon:

Greese the foil with margarine

Put some salt over the slice of Salmon

spread mayonaise and two or three stalks of lemon grass

then wrap, bake under 180°for 10 minutes ( or lesser if the slice is thiner)
Remember to preheat your oven for at least 15 minutes.

Ways that help get rid of ants, mosquitoes and cockroaches

Methods that do not kill but get rid of ants, mosquitoes and cockroaches

Ants don't like sour things, mosquitoes don't like spices and cockroaches don't like fragrant things.

To keep away ants, squeeze fresh lemon juice on where they'll be passing, and
also wipe the lemon slices on that surface.

Mosquitoes do not like spice. bury garlic under flowerbeds and clean dead leaves,
and keep the area clean.

Cockroaches do not like fragrance. Cut small pieces of soap, put them in a bottle with water, and put the bottle in a cupboard where you want to keep out cockroaches. After several days, they will be all gone and your cupboard will even smell good.

You do not need to kill mosquitoes: dissolve Vitamin C and B2 in water, wipe the water on your skin, and the scent will drive the mosquitoes away.
Put up orange coloured curtains, or orange plastic wrap around a bulb. Mosquitoes are afraid of orange light, and they will be gone.
Hang up a bunch of spring onions, and use gauze to wrap up the green sections of the onions, and there will be no more mosquitoes.
Putting a pot of Lilies, Milans, Roses, or Evening Primroses in your room will work too.

To drive away cockroaches, you can put pieces of cucumber where you want to keep them away.

'I want to learn that piece!'

Gab told me just now, 'I want to learn that piece!', I asked: 'Which piece?' 'That one you played in Tze Ning's house this afternoon!', I still am not sure about which piece he mentioned about, I thought it might be the 'Waltz Op.69-1 "L'adieu", cos I asked him to learn this piece, right away I headed to the room to play him this piece, he said not this one.

Aha~! My eyes opened wide, this one?  Then I played another one, Chopin's Etude Op.10-12 "Revolutionary", he nodded his head, I laughed (So sorry to him!)

I replied: 'No, this is too hard for you.' Then he said: 'How about another one?', 'You mean... this one (I start playing) 'Fantaisie-Impromptu by Chopin'..... I laughed again.... as he was looking at me seriously, with his big and determined eyes.... Finally I said: "Yes." (Phew... so ambitious!) I think soon enough he will forget this request... At the same time, I wish he will not give up. A praying mom could make things different, I shall start praying for him... seriously.

He has strong and nimble fingers, this is what I admire him about. He could play light and even semiquavers, he has stable wrists, he can play fast notes, he can read notes well, he just need a little more discipline, plus a pinch of passion to work it out! He can do well in music.

'I am sad!'

Gab followed me out for classes this afternoon, he took his book to spend his time when I am teaching. I had  a long lesson at Tze Ning's house, and while she was doing her theory work, I played a few pieces from her book, and Gab seated just beside me, he was trying to catch which bar I am playing.

I explained the piece in Mandarin and in English mixture, one funny thing happened as when I asked him to turn the page for me, I kept saying: 'Turn! Turn!Turn!.....' I saw his reaction was quite uncertain, go and backward he went, I stopped playing, and asked him why didn't he turn the page. And he said:' I don't know, I thought you are saying '等,等, 等!’,(direct translation is 'wait, wait, wait, which HanYuPinYin is 'Den, Den, Den!', that was a fun one! Made three of us laugh.

Today is the last lesson I teach Tze Ning, and will pass her to my friend from November, as the location is far to me, and another reason is that her lesson time is during evening time, which after the class, I will be stuck in a jam for about half hour or more before I reached home, I really don't like to waste my time in the traffic jam. As we going off from her house, Tze Ning handed over a small gift, which I am very much thankful for her, she is a good student. And I know I am going to miss her, therefore I added her as my facebook friend.

In the car, Gab told me he is sad, he said:' Ma, you are not coming to her house anymore?', 'I feel like crying! Like I miss Auntie Macy! I am sad!'. Yeah, he did told me he misses Auntie Macy, our late sister in Christ. And he said: 'I wish everything could go back again.'

I looked at him (though I was driving, because of the traffic jam, I am able to do this!)  and he turned his face to show me, by pointing his finger to his eyes, he said: 'You see, my tears!'

He is sentimental.
